I am in absolute love with this dress! The silk is a crepe scarf weight so feel weightless when on and flows beautifully. The print is hand screened onto the fabric is and on of the best designs that I have seen from this time period - beautiful line drawn parrots in vivid pops of colors flit across the gown amongst abstract lines of color from top to bottom. The top is cut loose with a hog neck and wide shoulders that softly form a small suggestion of a sleeve. The skirt is marvelous with tons of fabric that flows to the ground. The waist is constructed of flat pleats that go both up into the bodice and around the top portion of the skirt. The original belt can cinch the waist in further. It is a beauty! Excellent construction!

Unlined and closes at the side with snaps. A keyhole sits at the back of the neck and closes with a button and loop. The belt is original to the dress and shows a slight darkening and has a small stain that is hidden when on. Remarkably the dress looks unworn.
